Summary:

We are actively seeking candidates for a Full time Sales Position. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in business-to-business selling within the scientific community. Candidates must have prior experience in sales and a familiarity with drug product development in a CDMO environment, for either small or large molecule drugs. (e.g., pharmaceuticals or biopharmaceuticals). The Account Executive will be responsible for new business development and overall revenue growth of Pace Life Sciences, which is a highly dynamic, team-oriented environment, where we all share the common goal of improving human health.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent Pace Life Sciences to prospective clients and existing clients within their assigned territory. This will include virtual and/or face-to-face, in person meetings at client sites, at trade shows, and at other venues, as appropriate.
  • Offer capabilities presentations to prospective clients and existing clients to promote PLS capabilities and inform attendees of the full range of PLS capabilities and service offerings.
  • Development of new business within their geographic territory. They will be assigned targeted sales goals and will be required to maintain a schedule of meetings with clients/prospects on a routine basis.
  • Document all sales and opportunity activity within Salesforce® (CRM Software)
  • Collaborate with project management and operational staff to support the development of relationships with customers.
  • Work to generate leads through prospecting, participation in trade organization meetings and networking groups, and attending trade shows/industry meetings.
  • Work with the PLS business development group to manage the overall preparation and presentation of contracts and proposals to clients ranging from routine quotations to thorough responses to large program "Request for Proposals" (RFPs).
  • Present periodic performance reports to key clients, such as with quarterly metrics reports on the lab's performance
  • Manage overall client satisfaction; participates in client issue resolution as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree in Science or Business related fields
  • At least three to five years of experience in complex consultative selling into the pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry. Ideally someone with experience selling for a CDMO.
  • Familiarity with the development and manufacturing of regulated healthcare products (e.g. pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, medical devices) is preferred.
  • Ability to work with Pace Life Sciences staff in multiple laboratory and manufacturing locations to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and travel as needed to develop assigned geographic locations and client base. Travel into assigned territory requirements may vary. Travel frequency up to 50%, or greater, may be expected to effectively manage the territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
  • Experience presenting information to top management, public groups, and trade organizations.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce preferred
